Abstract

Cp2Zr[S2P(OR)2]2 (where R = C2H5-, CH3CH2CH2-, (CH3)2CH-, (CH2)2C- and C6H2-), Cp2Zr[S2POGO]2 (where G = –CH2C(CH3)2CH2–, –CH2C(C2H5)2CH2– and –C(CH3)2C(CH3)2–) have been synthesis by the reaction of Bis(cyclopentadienyl) zirconium(iv)dichloride with O,O-dialkyl and alkylenedithiophosphoric acids in molar ratio 1:2 in refluxing benzene. All products were yellow solids, soluble in organic solvent, monomeric in nature and have been characterized by elemental analyses, molecular weight determinations, and have been further characterized by some spectroscopical data IR and NMR (1H, 13C and 31P).
