Abstract

Single crystals of L-glutamic acid hydrobromide (GHB) were grown from aqueous solution by slow evaporation technique. Single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis shows that the crystal belongs to monoclinic system with the space group P212121. Several solid-state physical parameters have been determined for the grown single crystals. The dielectric constant and the dielectric loss of the grown crystal were studied as a function of frequency at room temperature.
