Abstract

A meticulous perceptive of soil heavy metals is very much desired in the developing countries like India due to the mounting pressure on the soil environment. Growing population and altering life styles is adding up waste materials of complex nature into the environment contaminating the soil fertility by increase of heavy metal concentration. The present swot is carried out to gauge the extent of soil heavy metal concentration of Fe, Co, Cu, Mn, Cd, Cr, Pb in an active dumpsite which can cause a significant damage to the environment and human health when surpass their tolerable levels.
